The Flick Factory is now shooting and cutting promotional material for Burton Bradstock - 21st century English folk "re-imagined".
Beautiful historic songs, often with intriguing narratives, played by some of the UK's best jazz musicians. Ear plugs? Burton Bradstock have already been called "the Metallica of folk"
Burton Bradstock's promotional videos can be found at:
The Flick Factory has shot and edited a promotional video of their song '3 Guys' for the band 'Colvex' .
The clip was shot in the Horns venue, St Albans and in and around Watford town centre. It featured the band playing "as live" intercut with a bank raid scenario with the guys disguised as clowns. [Although since this has been their trademark image on all their publicity for a number of years it's not really much of a disguise, more of a case of children pointing and saying "Look mummy there's that band who always dress as clowns stealing money cos their albums don't really sell."]
News: October 2011: The Flick Factory has just provided 1st Assistant Director services to 'Rearview' - a micro budget British feature film.
It's a psychological thriller with a nasty edge; a sort of trucking 'Wolf's Creek' with a feminist twist.
It stars Anthonia Thomas [E4 'Misfits'] and Jamie Sives ['Get Him To The Greek'. 'Valhalla Rising']
News update: 2015: Still waiting for the release - or even a simple cast and crew screening - of this film! I guess some films are destined never to see the light of projector or the inside of a dvd case.
In 2010 The Flick Factory shot the comedy short 'Suggestive', an important satire aimed squarely at the hightest echelons of the notoriously corrupt UK biscuit industry,
It stars Richard Betts, Matt Earley, Sean Garvey, Tiffany Stevenson and Jimmy Cannon.
It was lensed by Anthony Gurner with Kenny Ralston recording the location sound.
News just in: 'Suggestive' has been selected for official screening in the Angel Moving Image Festival 2010.
This little biccie based gem has also been selected as part of the 'Our Indie Cinema' London showcase for December 2010. (www.ourindiecinema.com), Odd's Mini Cine Picture Show, Manchester and 'White Rabbit/ The People Show's February 2011 "sex theme" film night..
Richard Betts gets heckled by a screen.
Tiffany Stevenson pulls a Miss Jean Brodie.
Sean Garvey takes a Hobnob in the pecans.
Matt Earley as the "adult entertainer" Tommy Trunk and (below) some of his handy work.
Dead Clean screens world wide:
Spiggin' awesone news: Dead Clean was selected for screening at the Australian International Film Festival 2006.
The festival was held in Melbourne and attended by huge stars from series such as 'Neighbours' and er, that's it, the festival proved to be a massive success for it's organisers. It's a real privilege and honour to be able to supply free content to festivals round the world.
This dark, twisted little flick also slunk into the Wood Green International Film Festival 2007. More of a "speech festival" than a film festival it was lovely to see all the dignitaries leave during the "comfort break" indicating that they DO care about being seen to represent their schemes and funds, but actually don't give a toss about watching films. Grrr come the glorious "cine-day" you weasly apparatchiks will be placed against the wall and projected on.
In 2009 The Flick Factory signed a distribution deal for 'Dead Clean' with short film channel Propeller TV who will sell the film on its website [propeller4film] and to broadcasters and festivals round the entire fricking world. In 2010 'Dead Clean' has also been signed up to the AUK catalogue which should see it become available on the i-phone, Netflix and Love Film.
